this is such a good analysis. I think people who have dealt with narcissists (mine was more covert) can spot it from miles away, and this is the exact same reaction I had to Colleen's video. I honestly had no idea she grew up fundy Christian as well! YIKES. Thank you for taking the time to write this all out. The more we share these stories the easier it is to see the patterns in the toxic people train.

Family and old friends have blocked me on socials and call ME the toxic person for even talking about the abuse done to me. Which is why I didn’t speak up for a long time; there was too much loss at stake from the people that had been in my proximity my whole life. But then I realized they weren’t interested in my healing; they were only interested in maintaining their comfort. And I disrupted that so I was the one to get kicked out. But I don’t and can’t care anymore. I refuse to stay quiet when I see humans treating each other, not just unkindly, but with active intention to harm. And that starts by sharing our own stories.
